Scottsdale is a nationally recognized hotbed for contemporary arts activity.  If contemporary art's your thing, head to Marshall Way,   in Scottsdale, home to some of the finest galleries in the Southwest.   The Marshall Way Contemporary Arts District, located between Indian School Road and Fifth Avenue, is an area filled with luxurious offerings. The district’s galleries specialize in the contemporary art of both regional and nationally acclaimed artists. Here  you will find new ideas in contemporary crafts, Southwestern art and Asian antiquities. The Marshall Way Contemporary Arts District also offers charming streetscapes, shopping, and fine dining. Galleries are open every Thursday evening from 7 - 9 p.m. for strolling, and on the first Thursday night of each month, they collectively offer exhibition openings and artist receptions, refreshments, and live music up and down the street.
