Boyce Thompson Arboretum is a wonderful place to escape the desert and enjoy the oasis of its trees.  The arboretum is a great place to see fall color near Phoenix. Fall color peaks near Thanksgiving each year.

Boyce Thompson Arboretum is located at Highway 60 milepost #223 near the town of Superior, 55 miles due east of Phoenix or about two hours drive North of Tucson via highway 79 North past Florence to highway 60, then turn right and head East another 12 miles.

Picnic tables and charcoal grills are available for visitors to use. Pets are welcome, provided they remain leashed at all times and are well-behaved.
