Walnut CanyonWalnut Canyon Average User Rating: (0 votes, add your vote or comments) Walnut Canyon is about 90 minutes north of Phoenix outside of Sedona, and was the home of Sinagua Indians. It was abandoned over 600 years ago, but what remains are the cliff dwellings where they resided. You can walk along an extensive trail that takes you through the numerous caves that were once home to a thriving population with a facinating history. The visitor center is a good place to start where you can get the full history. Top of PageDo you know of a Place that should be included here? Please Suggest a place in the appropriate category. |
